Built on Bank Hey, in 1543 (possibly even dating back to 1525)

St John the Evangelist Church

Former site of the The Bureau Centre for The Arts, Victoria St, Centre

The foundation stone was laid in 1787 and opened for worship by 1789. Sadly the building was badly damaged by fire in April 2019.

Old Town Hall

Blackburn Town Hall

The foundation stone was laid in 1852 by Joseph Feilden, and opened by Mayor William Hoole in 1856.

Victoria Building

Blackburn Technical College, Blakey Moor

The foundation stone was laid in 1888 by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), the college was fully open by 1894.

Blackburn Station

Blackburn Railway Station

Work began in 1886 on the Blackburn Railway Station, completing by 1888.

King George's Hall

Although the foundation stone was laid in 1913 by King George V, the outbreak of the First World War meant the building was not fully complete until 1921.
